Soakaways

     Land drainage is used to overcome problems with water logged gardens.

This has occurred mainly due to two factors:

1. A high natural water table which can be resolved by raising the level of the garden and/or laying plastic coated pipes set in shingle to a discharge point.
 

and/or

2. Compaction of the ground which has occurred over a period of time due to heavy use of the area which can be helped using our ‘dagger’ system. This sends a shaft either 300mm or 600mm into the ground and lets off a compressed air charge which shatters the surrounding soil/ sub-soil and allows the water to escape into the natural stratas.

    Soakaways are used to take water from gutters etc to be dispersed in to sub-soils.

They can be constructed with either hardcore or the much improved ‘Aquacell’ system.

Dagger System
